OCFU Welcomes Yvonne Weinstein to its International Advisory Board



Mama Yvonne Weinstein loves the Ugandan people and is a fervent advocate and supporter of the Omega Children Foundation because of its power to change lives.


Through her 12 years of travel to northern Uganda, she forged meaningful relationships that solidified her passion for the people.


Together with her husband, Yvonne establish impactful initiatives aimed at empowering the Acholi people through the acquisition of marketable skills in tailoring and computer technology. Drawing from her wealth of life experience and formal education, she is well-prepared to contribute to their development.


She and her husband Jeff lead Empowering Ugandans (www.empoweringugandans.org).

Yvonne holds a B.S. in Environmental Science with a focus on Water Resources, as well as an M.S. in Geography with an emphasis on Land Use Planning, both obtained from the University of California in Riverside. Additionally, her M.A. in School Librarianship from Azusa Pacific University equips her with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in Uganda, enabling her to facilitate positive changes for the benefit of the Ugandan people.
